View From 3,842 MetersThe MaxEnt 2010 conference was held in Chamonix, France. One of the most breath-taking experiences was the excursion to the top of Aiguille du Midi in the French Alps. After a ride on the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world, you are presented with a panoramic view – Mont Blanc on one side and Chamonix far below on the other.

Symmetries and transformations are explored in the framework of entropic quantum dynamics. In particular, we apply this to the extended Galilean transformation, which admits features of both special and general relativity. An effective gravitational potential arises naturally through an equivalence of information.

The PHP Squish library is an open source library that dynamically combines and minifies Javascript and CSS files. There are numerous minifier libraries included. Unlike other combination libraries, Squish works out nested dependencies and includes special commands to modify source code.
Welcome to dtjohnson.net!
My name is Dave Johnson. I'm a physicist working as a consultant for Tessella. This website is a repository for my research, projects, demos, and random thoughts. Feel free to browse around.
Computational Projects
In the past 10 or so years, I've written programs in countless languages. Most of my private projects were developed to 'scratch my own itch', so to speak. In the past few years, however, I have developed software that may be useful to others.
Research
My current field of research is information physics. In particular, I've been furthering the development of entropic quantum dynamics, a formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of information.
